I embarked on my Law Enforcement journey in December 2010, commencing with Sul Ross State University Police in Alpine, Texas, where I served as a dedicated Patrol Officer after earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Sul Ross State University in May 2010. While stationed at the university, my responsibilities included promptly responding to calls for service on the campus. In August 2011, I transitioned to Brewster County Sheriff’s Office, undertaking the role of a Patrol Deputy. In this capacity, I not only answered calls for service but also delved into the investigation of crimes within the jurisdiction of Brewster County. My commitment to law enforcement led me to the Aransas County Sheriff’s Office in October 2012 as a dedicated Patrol Deputy within the Patrol Division. Over the course of my career at the Aransas County Sheriff’s Office, I've ascended to the positions to Patrol Sergeant, contributing my skills to the Criminal Investigation Division as a Criminal Investigator, and currently serving as the Training Coordinator for the Agency. My commitment to professional development and training is underscored by obtaining Basic Instructor Proficiency in April 2016. Since then, I've been actively imparting knowledge through instructing courses within the agency. My diverse set of proficiencies and certifications include a Master Peace Officer License, Advanced Instructor Proficiency, Firearms Instructor Proficiency, OC Instructor, Impact Munitions Instructor, Chemical Agent Instructor, Distraction Devices Instructor, Low Light Instructor, ALERRT Level 1 ; ALERRT ERASE Instructor, Sexual Assault/Family Violence Investigator Certificate, Court Security Specialist Certificate, Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events Instructor, Stop the Bleed Instructor, and a Mental Health Officer Certificate.
